dc.description.abstract | Diesel engines are the main primary movers for heavy duty newlineapplications globally. Due to their fuel efficiency, right now they are also newlineapplied in light duty applications. Accordingly to the exhaustion of the newlineworld s petroleum reserves there is an immense demand for alternative newlinesource. The pollutant emissions from diesel engines such as NO, HC, CO, newlineCO2 and Smoke are main contributors to environmental pollutions. Biodiesel newlineis the unsurpassed available alternative for diesel fuel, because it could be newlineutilized in compressed ignition engine without any engine modification. newlineEngine designers are ruthless to improve the fuel cutback and to reduce newlineemission from diesel engines. Perceptive the combustion in diesel engine will newlinehelp the researchers to achieve these goals. Biodiesel is rarely used in newlineunmodified diesel engines. It is generally used as a blend with conventional newlinediesel fuel in low proportion. A large diversity of fuel additives are added to newlinethe biodiesel to enhance its properties and hence improve the engine newlineefficiency and reduce emissions. newlineAdvance to biodiesel, the mixed biodiesel was taken as a new idea newlineand experimental tests were carried out to find the best suitable alternative newlinefuel in this research. Additives were added to biodiesel and mixed biodiesel newlineand comparison was made with neat diesel. Prosopis Juliflora, Tectona newlineGrandis (Teak), Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) are few of the species used here newlinefor synthesis of Biodiesel. Elaeocarpus Ganitrus (Rudraksha), Diethyl Ether newlineare the bio additives which are added with biodiesel separately newline | |
