Abstract: Human life on earth revolves around four basic necessities such as food, water, air, and shelter. About 30% of the food grains produced by agriculture is wasted during the storage and processing stages. This is mainly due to the food wastage that occurs during the storage conditions aggravated newlineby storage pests. Currently, Malathion based insecticides are being used to control such storage pests. However, the toxic residues deposited on food particles are carried into the food cycle of humans leading to acute and chronic disorders. Similarly, mosquitoes are the most prevalent and notorious species which causes a nuisance in our shelter as well as public places. Mosquitoes are currently being controlled by synthetic pesticides and insecticides which contain neurotoxic and carcinogenic compounds and produce innumerable human health hazards. newline newline
