Abstract: | The development of non-polluting renewable energy sources like wind, solar, and biogas has increased as the world s attention has turned to halting global warming. The wind power conversion system, among other forms of green energy, is essential for reducing the impact of global warming. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) supports wind power generation projects, and India now has the fourth-largest installed wind power capacity worldwide. Using different types of generators, such as Squirrel-Cage Induction Generators (SCIGs), Doubly-Fed Induction Generators (DFIGs), and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generators (PMSGs), a Wind Energy Conversion System (WECS) must be able to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. Due to its straightforward design, low maintenance requirements, robustness, and capacity for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) in primarily megawatt turbines, PMSG is widely utilized in Variable Speed Wind Operation (VSWO). There are two different types of converters: the Voltage Source Converters (VSC), which are connected to the Grid Side Controller (GSC), and the Power Converters, which include ordinary rectifiers, booster converters, Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), ac to ac, and dc to ac converters. In order to operate the GSC, the rectifier converts the variable generator s output ac voltage to regulated dc voltage. It then injects active electricity into the grid via the MSC newline |
