Abstract: The impacting elements progressively eradicate metal from the surface throughout repetitive deformations and wounding actions. Erosion corrosion is a type of material deprivation concerning the mechanical wear and electro chemical corrosion processes. The entire material losses are often drastically in over indulgence of the amount of the separate wear processes and pure corrosions, accordingly suggesting essential relations, or synergisms, among the two components. High Velocity Oxy-Fuel (HVOF) spray technique has engrossed greatly attention for preparation of coatings in the long-ago decades since it may offer a best superiority coating with a high adhesion rapidly. newlineAmong the carbide materials, chromium carbide nickel chromium (Cr3C2-NiCr) is a rigid and impenetrable coating material which is evidence for best adhesion to the substrate, offer better resistant to abrasion, erosion and erosion corrosion principally in wet solutions. The microstructure of HVOF sprayed coating is depending upon the following factors likely (i) feedstock powder, (ii) using a thermal spray gun to apply the coating and (iii) the spraying parameters. Water jet erosion is the one type of material removal process; the rate of erosion is depends on the following factors namely (i) analysis geometry, (ii) erodent particle size, (iii) erodent mass, (iv) impact velocity, (v) stand- off distance, (vi) jetting time and diameter of jet. newline
