Abstract: | This thesis aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of research on the boundary layer flows of nanofluids past distinct stretching surfaces. It covers a range of topics, including the effects of nanoparticle volume fraction, stretching surfaces, and stretching velocity on the flow and heat transfer characteristics of nanofluids. The governing equations are discussed in detail, and numerical methods used to solve them are presented. The thesis also includes a detailed review of the literature on this topic, with a focus on the most recent research findings. The results of numerical simulations are compared with analytical results from the literature, providing a valuable benchmark for future studies. Getting an understanding of the behaviour of nanofluid boundary layer flows via different stretching surfaces forms the basis of this thesis. The main goals that have been achieved in this study are to use the Buongiorno/Tiwari and Das nanofluid model to create mathematical representations of the physical problems under consideration and to examine how physical factors such as the permeability of the porous medium, the strength of the magnetic field, chemical reactions, radiations, and thickness parameters affect the nanofluid flows past exponential stretching, linear, and non-linear stretching surfaces. newline |
