Abstract: The terahertz (THz) spectrum is one of the most promising topics with the highest recent growth in research fields. The lack of suitable technology in this band is the fundamental reason why a significant portion of the frequency range above millimetre wave and below the optical band of frequencies essentially remains unutilized. The terahertz band has been the subject of some reported research activities, but in recent years, it has gained significant attention from the research community due to its unique wave-particle duality, penetration, non-ionizing nature, and advantages such as extremely high bandwidths, greater directionality than microwaves, and lower susceptibility to scintillation effects than infrared.
