Abstract: Spinel ferrites, an important class of ferrimagnets, are well known for their ease of synthesis newlineand utility in diverse applications. Their structure resembles that of the mineral MgAl2O4 newlineknown as spinel, and hence these materials called as spinel ferrites . They belong to the newlineface-centred cubic Bravais lattice and and#119865;and#119889;3and#773;and#119898; space group. While the ferrites are newlineferrimagnetic in the bulk form, they exhibit superparamagnetism in the nano scale. Due to newlinetheir magnetic nature, spinel ferrites have found their way into very important fields such newlineas medicine, environmental remediation, electromagnetic shielding, energy, and newlineelectronics. newline
