Abstract: | newline The Technology growth in the IT Industry creates invariable generation changes in engineering and technology of all the streams. Numerous Computers are interconnected with the help of network technology, are connected for the single application with multiple user interfaces are called as Distributed System. When there are multiple users are collaborated on the single resource, there should be a defined policy to utilize the resource. It creates group oriented internet applications where all the users interact each other over the internet. This communication among the limited people is called as group communication. Some of the examples are Video Conference, AV broadcasting, Multiplayer gaming, Multimedia Message Circular and etc. Since, people are interacting on the Internet, it is necessary to implement security mechanism to ensure both authentication and message confidentiality. To provide authentication and confidentiality in group communication, asymmetric key based key management system is implemented in group dynamics. These two keys are group key and member key. Group key is common and visible to each member of the group and Member key is individual key of each member. With the use of group key and member key, the communication message is encrypted and decrypted in each transaction to provide authentication and message confidentiality. When the security service is provided for group communication, it becomes Secure Group Communication (SGC). Since a dynamic group, any user may join to the group as new member, similarly any present member may leave from the group at any time. |
