Abstract: newline In the first part, these inhibitors are evaluated for their efficiency in simulated concrete environments along with simulated marine environment. Here simulated concrete environment is simulated concrete pore solution (SCPS) and simulated marine environment is 3.5% NaCl. The SCPS solution is contaminated with 3.5% NaCl and inhibitors such as GSinh, SVinh, GYinh and GMinh were added in various concentrations (0.1wt.% to 0.4wt.%) and efficacy can be studied by various electrochemical techniques. In the second part, the optimized concentration with maximum inhibition efficiency (from the first part) was chosen. Here the reinforced concrete cylinders admixed with 0.3wt.% inhibitors were used. Here, 3.5% NaCl was used as the electrolyte to represent marine environments. In addition, the mechanical properties of the concrete such as compressive strength were also studied to understand the influence of inhibitors on concrete strength. The brief conclusions derived are given below
