dc.description.abstractTechnological advancements has helped devices to interconnect within themselves and to other devices of the system on the Internet. With the huge interconnectivity of such devices, the world is moving towards a new domain. The accomplishment of the computer network depends on its ability to flawlessly interconnect the overabundance of available devices. Due to the heterogeneity of the devices available, many architectures and protocols have been design. The emphasis of this study is also on system architecture of various computer networks for interoperability and scalability with protocols. The significance of Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrial IoT (IIoT) have been increased with the rise of industrialization. The key properties and issues of constrained devices are summarized. IoT system solutions and software protocols for IoT have been addressed. Connectivity is the most important factor for Industry 4.0 revolution. But new opportunities have their own challenges with the huge number interconnected devices of the IIoT, Security, reliability and integrity of data have become an important feature.
