Abstract: | Wireless communication techniques are introduced to better newlinetransfer information from source to destination in the presence of channel newlinefading and noise effects. In recent decades, many researchers have developed newlinecutting-edge technologies to improve transmission quality in a wireless newlinescenario. newlineMultiple access is essential for sharing common resources such as newlinetime, frequency, code, and space among users contending for a newlinecommunication channel. The groundbreaking multiple access technologies are newlinebroadly classified as Orthogonal Multiple Access (OMA) and newlineNon-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA). The most well-known OMA newlinetechniques are Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA), Frequency Division newlineMultiple Access (FDMA), Single Carrier FDMA (SC-FDMA), Orthogonal newlineFDMA (OFDMA), and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA). The NOMA newlinetechniques are developed based on power, pattern, code, and spreading. newlineThe multiple access signals are often distorted in the newlinecommunication channel due to the time-varying and time-dispersive nature of newlinethe channel. Each multiple-access technique develops its pros and cons due to newlinethe channel effect. Therefore, new strategies are required to mitigate the effect newlineof Multiple Access Interference (MAI) and Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) newlineoriginating from the channel effects and the multiple access itself. newline |
