Abstract: Cancer is a malignancy delineated by the proliferation of cells which eludes the main endogenous pathways and categorized based on organs or originating tissues. Skin cancer being the most persistent cancer is evidenced globally due to the most crucial causative agent, UV radiation. Designing a novel drug to treat skin cancer conditions occurring due to climatic and other environmental disturbances is the need of the hour. Breakneck scientific advances in the recent decade envisages about the molecular scheme of the cancer cells within short span and facilitate in tailoring therapeutic regimen in a finest way. Nanotechnology has been considered an emerging technology which could combat most of the deficiencies. Metal oxide nanoparticles are of enormous interest in the arena of nanotechnology since they can be synthesised and adapted with moieties such as drugs, antibodies, peptides and ligands for conjugation with the mediation of chemical groups thus unveiling scope in therapy and diagnosis. ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) stands as a strong disease curing agent in skin cancer therapy attributable to their capacity to selectively induce apoptosis in cancer cells. The main purpose of this investigation was to synthesise, characterize, evaluate and compare the anticancer effects and toxicity of mupirocin conjugated green synthesised zinc oxide nanoparticles (AZNP-MUP) and green synthesised zinc oxide nanoparticles (AZNP) alongside the effects of Alpinia calcarata rhizomes (ACRE). newline
