Abstract: Radiology includes different imaging techniques like X-ray newlineimaging, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), newlineand other techniques used by medical professionals to capture the images of newlinethe internal body to assist in the process of diagnosis or treatment. newlineTeleradiology is a part of telemedicine in which radiological images are newlinetransferred using telecommunication services to other facilities for obtaining newlinereports from qualified radiologists. Hospitals, mobile imaging firms, newlineemergency facilities, and some private practices use teleradiology. Having a newlineradiologist 24/7 on hand is the key concept behind teleradiology. newlineTeleradiology systems allow remote medical facilities to provide newlineexpert radiology services at a distance. Patients are imaged locally, and the newlineimages are transformed into digital form. The digital images are transferred to newlinespecialist staff for review. This process begins with the patient being imaged newlineand then converted into a digital format using the scanner. In this form, the newlineradiologist or doctor can view the digital X-rays at a diagnostic workstation. newlineNo scanner is needed if the patient is imaged, and the X-rays are directly in newlinedigital format, which can be viewed at the workstation immediately. If a newlinefacility does not have an expert staff, digital images and patient records are newlinetransferred to an expert. The digital images and patient records are stored in newlinean image archive and database. The radiologist at the expert medical site can newlineview the patient file at the diagnostic workstation. newline
