dc.description.abstractNanotechnology and its application have shown tremendous performance for the removal of water pollutants in past years. In the field of wastewater purification for drinking purpose, nano science has contributed noticeable development and improvement. The use of nanomaterials for the purification of water with low cost and high efficiency motivated this work. Adsorption is a universal process. Adsorption on the surface of low-cost material i.e., waste from biomass such as peanut shell (PS), corn cob (CC) and solanum nigrum (SN) has been used as precursor for the development of activated carbon through valorization process. The materials have been prepared at different ratios and fixed temperature. The prepared materials were chemically activated with Zinc Chloride, Phosphoric acid, and Potassium Hydroxide and physically activated with Carbon dioxide. After the preparation of the materials proximate analysis including Ash test, pH, and yield% was calculated. Material is optimized by comparing the proximate analysis and the liquid phase adsorption of the materials with the selected Endocrine disrupted compounds. Bisphenol-A, Carbamazepine, and Diclofenac sodium has been selected for the removal from the water. newlineSurface morphology and textual properties of the prepared samples were studied using instrumental techniques. FE-SEM, EDAX, FTIR, XRD, Nitrogen adsorption- desorption isotherm, TGA, pHzpc has been performed on the selected samples of PS, CC, and SN. newlineAfter characterization of the selected samples, batch adsorption experiments were performed for the removal of BPA, CBZ and DCLF. The batch adsorption study includes contact time, effect of pH, effect of temperature, desorption, and reusability.The study for the removal of BPA, CBZ and DCLF focused on the preparation of the material from Peanut shell, Corn cob and solanum Nigrum. The prepared material was chemically activated with Zncl2, H3PO4 AND KOH by varying the impregnation ratio. The PS, CC and SN materials was physically activated with carbon dioxide. The
