Abstract: | 3D printing, often known as Additive Manufacturing (AM), is a rapidly expanding manufacturing industry area. In recent years, 3D printing technology has developed as a versatile and powerful tool in the advanced manufacturing business. 3D printing can transform a geometrical representation into a physical object by layering materials on top of one another. Many studies are being conducted in the field of polymer 3D printing to provide a highly efficient and high-quality product. Mechanical characteristics such as tensile strength, deformation, surface polish, hardness, and microstructural features vary based on the material and printing conditions. In order to optimize the additively manufactured polymer components for some special purpose applications, these characteristics must be tuned. Many input factors, such as printing temperature, infill density, raster angle, layer thickness, and others, substantially impact the product output quality. It is feasible to improve the mechanical strength and quality of the goods by adjusting these input parameters. Optimizing these input parameters makes it possible to achieve greater mechanical strength and quality of the products. In order to enhance the output responses of surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and tensile strength, this study optimizes the input parameters of infill density, printing speed, and layer thickness. newlineThe research focuses on the development of a screw extrusion technique that can be utilized to make PLA-G-CF polymer composite filaments with various engineered microparticles with different particle morphology for use as PLA matrices reinforcement. Polylactic Acid (PLA) has been used as matrix material and Graphene and Carbon fiber particles used as reinforcement. These polymer composite material blends are then drawn into filaments and used for Additive Manufacturing to fabricate components. newline |
