Abstract: More individualized prognostic models are now possible because of the growing use of electronic health record (EHR) systems in medicine. In recent years, there has been much interest in predicting the risk of chronic diseases using EHR. Diabetes is of chronic disease, and adopting EHRs to anticipate its onset could enhance the effectiveness and quality of medical care. However, the majority of research to date has examined the binary classification problem for anticipating the beginning of diabetes, with little focus on determining the risk of developing comorbidities, which are significant contributors to morbidity and death. newline
