Abstract: A series of SrFe12and#8722;xZrxO19 ( x = 0.00, 0.30, 0.60, 0.90) hexaferrites was prepared at 950and#9702;C in presence of clove extract. The effect of zirconium substitution on the structural, magnetic, and dielectric properties of the hexaferrites was studied using FTIR, XRD, Raman, SEM, VSM, and low-frequency dielectric measurements. The XRD analysis revealed the formation of the M-phase in addition to the and#945;-Fe2O3 and SrFe2O4 phases. Lattice constants and cell volume increased slightly with Zrcontent. The zirconium-substituted samples exhibited better morphology with a hexagonal platelet structure compared to the pure sample. Raman spectra of all samples showed seven Raman-active modes: 4A1g, 2E1g, and 1E2g. M-H loops analysis shows that the samples with x = 0.00 to 0.60 exhibited hard ferrite nature, while x = 0.90 was magnetically soft, but all heated samples possessed a multi-domain structure. Ms varied from 28.24 to 42.13 Am2/kg, while Hc changed from 139 to 2499 Oe. The dielectric constants of all samples were frequency-dependent, and the Cole-Cole plots displayed two semi-circular arcs in the lower and higher frequency regions. The resulting product exhibits good magnetic properties, which makes it appropriate for utilization in various applications like data storage, microwave devices, and absorption of electromagnetic waves. newline newlineIn the reported research work, we investigated the structural, thermal, magnetic, surface morphology, Raman spectroscopic and dielectric properties of Cu-Cr substituted M-type barium hexaferrites for lossless low frequency application. By using green synthesis approach with mentha leaves extract, we synthesized a series of M-type BaFe12and#8722;2xCrxCuxO19 (0.0 and#8804; x and#8804; 0.5) hexaferrite with varying Cu-Cr content. A simple heat treatment was used to prepare hexaferrite samples. The samples were heated to 1100and#9702;C, and thoroughly characterized for their structural, thermal, magnetic, Raman spectroscopic and dielectric study.
