Abstract: | This study aims to find out the significant of Learning Strategies and Goal newlineOrientation in relation to Academic Achievement of higher secondary school students newlinein Thanjavur District of Tamil Nadu. The investigator has used survey method and newlinesimple random sampling technique for selecting the sample from the population. The newlinesample consists of 750 higher secondary school students. The objectives of the study newlinewere i) To find out the level of Learning Strategies, Goal Orientation and Academic newlineAchievement. ii) To find out whether there is any significant difference between newlineLearning Strategies, Goal Orientation and Academic Achievement. The study results newlinereveal that, i) the average level of Learning Strategies, Goal Orientation and newlineAcademic Achievement. ii) There is significant relationship between Learning newlineStrategies, Goal Orientation and Academic Achievement. Thus, it can be concluded newlinethat correlation analysis revealed that the selected independent variables like learning newlinestrategies and Goal Orientation had contributed towards academic achievement of newlinehigher secondary school students. Thus, the research is clear and consistent: parents newlineand teacher s involvement in education has an effect on both academic achievement newlineas well as goal orientation. Pupils should have a strong positive self-concept in order newlineto be self-motivated and have a constant self, to be motivated to learn. When students newlinehave a high understanding for themselves, they will get a high achievement in newlineacademics and they will become good citizens. The study recommend to parents and newlineteachers should understanding their children s particular learning method and how to newlinebest meet the needs of that learning method is essential to achieve better academic newlineperformance. newline newline |
