dc.description.abstractThe necessity for data security during transmission is a significant constraint in the field of communication. Cryptography is the science of securing data effectively during communication under eavesdropping channel conditions. Only users with an encryption key are permitted to retrieve data from the networks. Authentication and information security are significant challenges faced by the society. Standard cryptography methods are based on variety of theoretical and algebraic concepts. In the existing communication networks, each node has to perform Optical-Electrical-Optical (O-E-O) conversion, it consumes high power, it is limited in bandwidth and face severe cross talk. Due to the demand of high data rate and to overcome electronic bottleneck, networks are slowly moving towards All Optical Networks (AON). newlinePhysical layer forms the backbone of the internet and integral part of the bottom layer in the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model newline
