Abstract: | newline ABSTRACT Introduction: Worldwide more than 1.2 billion are adolescents: this indicates that roughly one in every six persons is an adolescent. During this stage, puberty typically starts and adolescent boys and girls develop mature sexual conduct. The correct information is required to avoid diseases and risk-taking behaviour related to sexual health. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of newly developed module on adolescent knowledge, Attitude and communication about sexual health against school based information about sexual health. newlineMethods: Comparative interventional study was done on 200 adolescents in school. Informed consent was obtained from the concerned authorities. Data was collected by interview technique with the help of structured questionnaire, attitude rating scale and communication rating scale. Intervention was done with the help of newly developed module on adolescent sexual health through workshop method with the help of audio visuals. newlineThe same data was collected again after 7th day, 3rd month and 6th month. Statistical analysis of data was done using percentage, proportion and appropriate tests of significance. Software used for data analysis- SPSS version 26. plt0.05 was considered a level of significance. newlineResults. In control group at end line evaluation none of them demonstrated excellent knowledge. In interventional group at end line evaluation 57% demonstrating excellent knowledge. In control group at end line evaluation none of them demonstrated definitely positive attitude. In interventional group at end line evaluation 49% demonstrated definitely positive attitude. In control group at end line evaluation none of them demonstrated excellent communication. In interventional group at end line evaluation 46 % demonstrated excellent communication. All correlations were statistically significant and showed strong and moderate positive relationships.
