Abstract: | This study aims to analyze SNP of rs1695 of GSTP1 and its association newlinewith CAD in the South Indian Population and also compared the present data newlineof the South-Indian Tamil population with the allele and genotype frequencies newlineof the other world populations. This study also aimed to investigate the newlinevariations of lipid parameters, oxidative stress, and antioxidant markers in newlinesubjects with CAD compared to their age and sex-matched controls and the newlineassociation of oxidative stress and antioxidants with CAD and also with newlineGSTP1gene polymorphism in CAD. newline2.2 Objectives newline newline1) To compare conventional risk factors and biochemical parameters newlinebetween coronary artery disease patients and normal controls newline2) To compare the oxidative stress markers and antioxidants in newlinecoronary artery disease and to study the correlation of newline oxidative stress markers and antioxidants with other risk factors newline3) To study the genotype and allele frequencies of rs1695 SNP newlinepolymorphism in case and control groups and its association with newlineconventional risk factors newline2.3 Ethical clearance newline The current research was carried out after getting the newlineapproval from Saveetha Medical College and the Hospital Institutional newlineHuman Ethics Committee (006/09/2019/TEC/SMCH). The study was newlineconducted after obtaining permission from the authorities of newlineDepartment of Biochemistry and Department of Cardiology of newlineSaveetha Medical College Hospital, Chennai. Informed consent was newlineobtained in native and English languages. With prior authorization, newlinesamples were collected from Saveetha Medical College and Hospital newline. No risks were encountered and confidentiality of the data was ensured newline |
