Abstract: | newline Automotive companies are concentrating on electric vehicles(EV), newlinehybrid electric vehicles(HEV), and fuel cell vehicles due to the growing demand newlinefor ecologically friendly and improved fuel efficient automobiles. The newlineobjectives of the choice of facing power converters, electric machines, and newlinerelated electronics in electric cars, HEVs, PHEVs, and fuel-cell vehicles are to newlineachieve high efficiency, ruggedness, reduced sizes, and low costs. A power- newlineconditioning unit, such as a dc-dc converter, may be required in particular for newlinefuel-cell vehicles to match the fuel-cell voltage with the battery pack. newlineIn today s practice power source for charging ,electric vehicles use a newlinethree-stage conversion process that includes a diode rectifier, a high frequency newlineinverter, and a high frequency rectifier. Due to the substantial conversion loss newlineand harmonic pollution, this power source causes, the grid. The main cause of newlinethe power quality issue is the sporadic nature of EV charging. This study newlineinvestigates the suitability of a single stage cascaded DC-DC converter topology newlineas an EV charging power source in light of the aforementioned factor. In order newlineto lessen the strain on semi-conductor devices, the interleaving arrangement newlineenables proper current sharing, and the cascaded architecture ensures a steep newlinestep-down in voltage. |
