Abstract: | The experiment was carried out at Horticulture Garden, Department of Fruit Science, newlineChandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur (U.P.) during newlinethe years 2020 and 2021. Sixteen treatments viz. four levels of GA (0, 20, 40 and 60 newlineppm) and Boron (0, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7%) were studies in a Factorial Completely newlineRandomized Design with three replications. Spraying was done twice i.e. before newlineflowering (07 Feb.) and at pea stage (05 April) during both the years. Application of the newline(GAat60 ppm and Zincat0.7 %) increase length of new shoot (24.41 and 24.44 cm), newlinenumber of leaves per shoot (23.55 and 24.06), length of panicle (34.89 and 35.96 cm), newlinenumber of fruits per panicle (21.11 and 22.19), fruit count prior to foliar spray at pea newlinestage (40.53 and 40.96), fruit count at pit hardening stage (28.79 and 30.36), fruit count newlineat maturity stage (25.36 and 26.21), length of fruit (4.21 and 4.30 cm), fruit weight newline(20.22 and 21.16 g), diameter of fruit (4.22 and 4.29 cm), %). Weight of pulp (13.69 and newline13.70 g), fruit count at ripening stage (22.23 and 23.06), yield of marketable fruit (72.62 newlineand 74.74 Kg/plant) and also increase nutritional qualities of fruit such as total soluble newlinesolids (21.47 and 22.600B), total sugar (14.31 and 14.34), juice content (61.86 and 61.91 newline%), sugar acid ratio (28.89 and 29.91 %), ascorbic acid (40.83 and 42.03 mg/100g), newlineorganoleptic test (84.15 and 85.09), pulp stone ratio (4.65 and 4.62) content and newlinereduction in number of cracked fruit at harvesting (2.45 and 2.11) and acidity (0.431 and newline0.427) and reduced in respective years days required to flowering after first spray (22.13 newlineand 21.30) days, length of seed (2.16 and 2.14 cm), diameter of seed (1.32 and 1.30 cm), newlineweight of seed (3.20 and 3.17 g) and rind weight (2.54 and 2.52 g). newline newline |
