Abstract: The focus of this research is Mystical Understanding of Shabd in Dera Beas of Radha Soami newlineSatsang: A Christian Response. Shiv Dayal Singh founded the Radha Soami Satsang and#2352;and#2366;and#2343;and#2366; and#2360;and#2381;and#2357;and#2366;and#2350;and#2368; and#2360;and#2340;and#2381;and#2360;and#2306;and#2327; newlineon Basant Panchami and#2348;and#2360;and#2306;and#2340; and#2346;and#2306;and#2330;and#2350;and#2368; day in January, 1861. He had two main contemporaries: Rai Salgram and newlineJaimal Singh. Rai Salgram became the head of the Satsang and#2360;and#2340;and#2381;and#2360;and#2306;and#2327; in Agra, while, Jaimal Singh newlineestablished his own Dera and#2337;and#2375;and#2352;and#2366; in 1891 at Beas and#2348;and#2381;and#2351;and#2366;and#2360; in Punjab, near Amritsar. Jaimal Singh also had two newlinemain contemporaries: Sawan Singh and Dayal Bagh Singh. Bagh Singh established his own Dera and#2337;and#2375;and#2352;and#2366; at newlineTaran Taaran nearby Amritsar in Punjab. Currently there are dozens of sects but, the two main newlinebranches of this Satsang and#2360;and#2340;and#2381;and#2360;and#2306;and#2327; are at Agra and Beas. Jaimal Singh, head of the Dera and#2337;and#2375;and#2352;and#2366; at Beas, was newlinesucceeded by Sawan Singh, Jagat Singh, Charan Singh and since 1990 onwards Gurinder Singh newlineDhillon is the present guru. newline Shiv Dayal began to teach, the Name Radha Soami and#2352;and#2366;and#2343;and#2366; and#2360;and#2381;and#2357;and#2366;and#2350;and#2368;, as a Supreme Being, appeared first newlinetime in the annals of religious history in India. Radha and#2352;and#2366;and#2343;and#2366; is the name of the Dhun and#2343;and#2344;and#2369; (Reverberation) newlineand Soami and#2360;and#2381;and#2357;and#2366;and#2350;and#2368; is the Shabd and#2358;and#2348;and#2381;and#2342;: (Sound). Radha and#2352;and#2366;and#2343;and#2366; is the lover and Soami and#2360;and#2381;and#2357;and#2366;and#2350;and#2368; the beloved. Radha and#2352;and#2366;and#2343;and#2366; newlineis the Name of the Adi and#2310;and#2342;and#2342; (Primeval) Surat and#2360;and#2352;and#2370;and#2340; and Soami and#2360;and#2381;and#2357;and#2366;and#2350;and#2368; is the Adi Shabd and#2310;and#2342;and#2342; and#2358;and#2348;and#2381;and#2342;. Radha and#2352;and#2366;and#2343;and#2366; and newlineSoami and#2360;and#2381;and#2357;and#2366;and#2350;and#2368; are two, vis-a-vis, Surat and#2360;and#2352;and#2370;and#2340; and Shabd and#2358;and#2348;and#2381;and#2342;: but, they unite as one in Sat Lok and#2360;and#2340;and#2354;and#2379;and#2325;. newlineThe main study of this research work has been to discuss, how this Dera Beas gurus and#2327;and#2369;and#2352;and#2369;: used newlinethe Shabd and#2358;and#2348;and#2381;and#2342; in the context of Biblical understanding of Logos/Word/and#2357;and#2330;and#2344;. In the process of their newlinedevelopment of teaching, the Dera gurus and#2327;and#2352;and#2369;and#2369;: have used and misused, wrongly interpreted the Johannine newlinetext to suit their purposes. They deliberately used the text John 1:1, 1:5, 1:14 and Genesis 1:1 etc. newlineShabd and#2358;and#2348;and#2381;and#2342;: in Radha Soami Satsang and#2352;and#2366;and#2343;and#2366; and#2360;and#2381;and#2357;and#2366;and#2350;and#2368; and#2360;and#2340;and#2381;and#2360;and#2327;and#2306; Beas and#2357;and#2381;and#2351;and#2366;and#2360;, literally means sound, voice, word, newlinemelody, hymn or verses from scriptures, and current of divine energy that created and sustains the newlineuniverse,
