dc.description.abstract | The effective management of human resources will lead to the country s development in any field. The key factor that defines human resource is their emotions and emotions are an inevitable result of human interactions. The role of emotions in work and interpersonal relationships affects the organizational performance. As the organization s focus has become more specific to human beings, the concept of emotional intelligence has become relevant for the organizations. There are various researches conducted in the area of self-efficacy and mentioned that it plays a vital role in determining one s emotional intelligence and performance. The balance between emotional intelligence and self-efficacy can make the employee commit to their job. Those employees committed to the organization play a critical role when there is requirement to engage in change initiatives and experience the development of the organization. The current study is an attempt to identify the level of self-efficacy, emotional intelligence and organizational commitment of women employees and how they are interrelated. It also addresses the factors influencing self-efficacy, emotional intelligence and the organizational commitment of women employees working in IT companies and their interrelationships. The study was conducted in Chennai city. The study used both primary and secondary data. Using a probability sampling technique namely random sampling, 500 samples were selected. Chi-square analysis results shows that there is an association between the demographic variables and self-efficacy, emotional intelligence and organizational commitment of the respondents. Correlation analysis results shows the strong positive relationship between self-efficacy, emotional intelligence and organizational commitment. newline | |
