The Study of Limnological Investigations of River Narmada for Estimation of Physico chemical Properties

Abstract

Fresh water is necessary for healthy living. River water is used for various purposes newlinesuch as drinking, bathing, irrigation etc. This natural resource is being polluted by newlineindiscriminate disposal of sewage, industrial waste and human activities which affect newlinequality of river water. Therefore, it is necessary for monitoring the water quality of newlineriver by analysis of various physicochemical parameters. The objective of the present newlinestudy is to carried out to ascertain the magnitude of seasonal variations in newlinephysicochemical and biological variants with reference on the river Narmada for the newlineyear 2020-22. Variations in physicochemical parameters such as temperatures, pH, newlinetransparency, total alkalinity, total hardness, chloride content, dissolved oxygen, newlinebiochemical oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) were newlineobserved between proposed time duration. This study tries to analyses various water newlinepollutants available in Narmada River.
