dc.description.abstractnewline ABSTRACT newlineThe experiment was conducted during the year 2019-20 and 2021-22, at Department of newlineHorticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, SHUATS, Prayagraj with the object to study newlinethe success and initial growth and the performance of the biomass characters of grafts of newlinesome important varieties of mango under net house condition. The experiment consists of newlineten different varieties of mango Amrapali, Kishan Bhog, Gulabkhas, Kesar, Totapuri, newlineDasheri, Malgoa, Himsagar, Nisar Pasand and Bombay Green as treatments and replicated newlinethrice in Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The results of present investigation newlineclearly showed that, grafts of different mango varieties studied had a significant influence newlineon the maximum values of growth parameters like Graft Diameter (23.80 mm), scion newlinediameter (17.35 mm), rootstock diameter (20.06 mm), length of grafted plant (88.71 cm), newlineDays to sprout (14.25), Number of leaves (21.50), survival percentage at 150 DAG newline(90.00%) and rootstock length (65.72cm ) were recorded maximum in the graft of variety newlineDasheri while Stionic ratio was found best in the graft of variety Gulabkhas (0.90), Scion newlinelength (25.14cm) was found best in the graft of variety Malgoa and maximum leaf area newline(307.43 cm2 ) was found in kesar. Length of tap root (25.97 cm ), secondary roots newlinegrafted plant (37.73) was found maximum kesar. Maximum Fresh shoot weight (19.37 g), newlinedry shoot weight (11.19 g), fresh root weight plant (9.66 g), dry root weight (5.04 g) was newlinefound in dasheri. Maximum Shoot root ratio (Fresh on weight basis) (2.75 g) and Shoot newlineroot ratio (dry on weight basis) (2.77 g) was found maximum in Amrapali. newlineKeywords: Mango, Rootstock, Scion, Grafting, Monoembryonic. newlineProf. (Dr) V.M Prasad Vinay Joseph Silas newline(Advisor) (Research Scholar)
