Intra Regional Trade a Study Pattern Of India And Bangladesh

Abstract

The Prospects and challenges of Intra Regional Trade and regional integration between India and Bangladesh are described and analyzing regional and international trade structure of South Asian Countries through usual trade measure such as, commodity composition and direction of trade, and bilateral trade shares. Finding indicated that with the existing low level of bilateral trade and Intra Regional Trade shares and preferential trade with South Asia countries, and gain from free trade agreement in the region are likely to be minimum. The region accounts for vary insignificant shares of world trade but persistent high level of tariff barriers. Thus preferential trade liberalization is more likely to being about trade creation leading to more gains of large countries and more losses of small countries. The objective of the study is improvement of the Trade relation between SAARC countries especially India and Bangladesh and Promotion of Intra-Regional Trade and Preferential Trade agreement, Joint Ventures, Investment and Technology Transfer.
