dc.description.abstractAccording to the WHO Drinking water factsheet report of 2015, 844 million newlinepeople round the world lack basic drinking water facility, a staggering 2 billion newlinepeople are using a drinking water source which is potentially contaminated with newlinefaeces, an estimated 500,000 people die every year due to water borne or water newlinerelated diseases like diarrhea, cholera, dysentery and typhoid. It is estimated that newlineby 2025, 50% of world population will be living in water stressed area. With a newlinepopulation of more than 1.34 billion, water is one of the most poorly managed newlineand abused resources. The rivers, which are the lifeline for any nation are drying newlineup and are getting heavily contaminated. India is a country where people of one newlinestate die because of floods and the people of neighboring state die because of newlinedrought! Huge population is considered as an excuse for the gradual, rather newlineretarded progress of this nation. newline newline
