Abstract: | Investigations were carried out at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Bijapur newlineduring 1998-2000, to study the production technology in Thomspon Seedless grapes. Number newlineof bunches per vine, berry diameter, berry weight and yield (35.61 and 40.90 t/ha) and total newlinesoluble solids to acid ratio were higher in recommended dose of fertilizer (RDF) wherein 50 newlineper cent of nitrogen supplied through vermicompost under both telephone and bower newlinesystems. However, highest percentage of reducing sugars was recorded in RDF wherein 50 newlineper cent of nitrogen supplied through green manure in telephone system while it was highest newlinein RDF + FDFYM and statistically on par with RDF wherein 50 per cent of nitrogen supplied newlinethrough poultry manure and RDF alone in bower system. newlineApplication of three spray sof glyphosate at 3.0 kg .ai./ha at 90 days interval was best newlinetreatment in reducing the number and dry weight of monocot, dicot and total weeds. Weed newlinecontrol efficiency was higher with three sprays of glyphosate at 3.0 kg a.i./ha at 90 days newlineinterval (66.86 88.68%) and pre-emergent application of oxyfluorfen at 1.0 kg a.i./ha newlinefollowed by two sprays of post-emergent application of paraquat at 2.0 kg a.i./ha at 90 and newline180 days (63.50 to 88.23%). Higher number of bunches (35.17 /vine) and yield (30.67 t/ha) newlinewas recorded with three sprays of glyphosate at 3.0 kg a.i./ha at 90 days interval. Weed newlinemanagement treatments did not influence significantly the TSS and TSS to acid ratio. Higher newlineberry length, diameter bunch weight and yield (31.45 t/ha) wee obtained with bunch treatment newlineby 2 ppm CPPU at 3-4 mm berry size. TSS to acid ratio was 34.31 with the treatment of newlinebunches in 2.00 ppm CPPU and it did not differ significantly with 3-6 ppm CPPU. Percentage newlineof total sugars was maximum (19.74) in 50 ppm GA at 3-4 mm berry size. |
