Abstract: Lot of research has been conducted on the performance and emission parameters of newlineInternal Combustion Engine (ICE) using biodiesel as fuel. The importance of biodiesel is newlineincreasing day by day in the life of human as alternative source of energy with less harmful newlineemissions. In this research, experiments have been conducted to understand the combined newlineeffect of blends of Biodiesel (BD) as fuel, EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), Di-Methyl newlineCarbonate (DMC) as an additive and magnetization of fuel (MF) on the performance and newlineemission parameters of internal combustion compression ignition engine. Literature reviews newlineof 209 research papers related to this research have been conducted. From the literature newlinereview it has been found that, there are possibilities of improving the performance and newlinereducing emissions from internal combustion engine using biodiesel as fuel with the use of newlineadditives, EGR and application of magnetic field. These possibilities have been tried with newlineexperimentations on 4-stroke, single cylinder, direct ignition diesel engine. During the newlinecombustion of biodiesel in constant pressure heat addition engine, degradations in Brake newlinePower, Brake Specific Fuel Consumption and Brake Thermal Efficiency have been notified. newlineMain purpose of using biodiesel is reducing emission, which has been achieved, but newlineemission of NOx increases. The present research is done on the utilization of biodiesel as newlinefuel in four strokes, direct ignition diesel engine with DMC as additive along with EGR and newlinemagnetization of fuel. EGR (10%, 20% and 30%) and Magnetization (4000 Gauss) of fuel newlinehave been used with DMC as an additive (5%, 10% and 15%) and 20% biodiesel blend with newlinediesel. Results show that, with the use of biodiesel emissions like Carbon Di-Oxides (CO), newlineUnburnt Hydrocarbon (UBHC) and smoke reduces, but Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx) emission newlineis slightly higher. Magnetization of fuel improves the combustion due to dispersion of newlinemolecules, whie DMC improves the combustion due to higher oxygen content and both help newlineto reduce certain emiss
