Abstract: In the thesis, specifics of the current studies on ZnO, GO anchored ZnO, TiO2 and GO anchored TiO2 synthesis, characterization, and dye degradation properties are described. This present module mainly elucidates the classification of dyes and various methods used in the advance oxidation process to treat dyes. Further the heterogeneous photo catalysis focusing on the semiconductor metal oxides and composites has been explained in detail. various methods which are used for the synthesis of nanomaterials are explained. newline
