Abstract: The Study conducted to find correlates of environmental sanitation status in Hamirpur and Solan District (HP), its relation with health and views of stakeholders. In both districts rural area, no earmarked space for solid waste leading to open burning and causing pollution. No provision for safe disposal of liquid waste. In most of district Hamirpur urban area, nearby people agitated against it, as it causes smell and health problems. In-spite of good literacy rate, high awareness level of sanitation, people don t want to change themselves. It leads to increase in incidence of disease every year. newline
