dc.description.abstractThe Ayurveda means the science of life. Prameha was explained in a very broad manner in Ayurveda from ancient days. The prevalence of prediabetes also known as impaired glucose tolerance and a precursor to diabetes is 1.4 times higher than the newlinediabetes prevalence of 7.3%. more than 84% patients of prediabetes are not known of newlinehave it. Prediabetes is a preventable disease through diet, life style, medicine or it is a reversible disease. Many people with prediabetes have no symptoms. The prevalence of prediabetes is swiftly increasing over the globe at an alarming rate. Evidence increasingly demonstrates that prediabetes is a toxic state, as well as a risk factor for diabetes, and is associated with pathophysiological changes in several tissues and organs. Prediabetes must be viewed and treated as a serious pathological entity in its own right. In spite of this much high rates of prevalence and increasing prevalence all over the world, scientists are still struggling to search an effective and harmless remedy. So emphasis were made to find out good drug to treat prediabetes, using Kinshuktwagadi ghan vati and with control drug Darvyadi ghanavati, in the management of Prameha, with special reference to Prediabetes, according to AYUSH guidelines. Patients belonging to age group between 18 to 60 years, irrespective of sex having signs and symptoms of prameha were selected. Trial group: In this group 70 patients of prediabetes were treated with Kinshukatwagadi Ghanavati 500 Mg BID before meal with Jala for 90 days. Group B: Control group: In this group 70 patients of prediabetes were treated with Darvyadi Ghana Vati 500 Mg BID before meal with jala for 90 days. From clinical study it is clear that Kinshuktwagadi Ghana vati Group provides newlinebetter results in comparison to Darvyadi Ghana vati Group in Prameha WSR to newlinePrediabetes.
