Abstract: In the last ten years, fossil fuel sources have met the growing energy demand due to rapid newlinepopulation growth. As a result, carbon emissions have finite resources and have had a terrible newlineeffect on the atmosphere for a long time. In order to overcome this, a huge rise in global newlineresearch towards a fundamental change and renewed momentum in the drive for socioeconomic, newlinesustainable, and off-grid energy sources have been developing. Among various newlineenergy-generating systems, energy storage devices gained substantial research into lithiumion, newlinesodium-ion, redox-flow batteries and supercapacitors. Remarkably, supercapacitors newlinewith high-power densities, fast charge-discharge rates, extended lifespan, and outstanding newlinethermal stability set the foundation for the future generation of energy storage devices. newlineSeveral supercapacitor materials, including oxides, hydroxides, and polymers, are being newlineinvestigated as electrode materials newline
