newline The following objectives were framed in the present study: 1) To study the n-Achievement of X class students, 2) To study the attitude of X class students towards English, 3) To study the achievement in English of X class students, 4) To compare the n-Achievement of X class students with respect to the demographic variables, namely, gender, type of school, locality of school, medium of instruction and parent s educational qualifications, 5) To compare the attitude towards English of X class students with respect to the selected variables, 6) To compare the achievement in English of X class students with respect to the selected variables, 7) To find out the relationship between n-Achievement and achievement in English of X class students, 8.
