Abstract: newlineFinancial Inclusion assures the equal opportunities to access the financial services and products, it refers to easy and affordable access to financial products and services to all the section of the population including the poorest of the poor. This doctoral study will focus the theoretical aspects of financial inclusion in the context of the financial inclusion schemes in India. It will analyse the impact of Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY) as financial inclusion scheme, it will explore Social Category wise performance of PMMY, it will highlight Gender wise performance of PMMY, it will throw light on the performance of PMMY for New and Old Entrepreneurs on the basis of number of accounts opened and also the performance of PMMY for New and Old Entrepreneurs on the basis of disbursement of loans, it will examine the Financial Institutions wise performance of PMMY, it will also throw light on the State wise performance of PMMY, it will find out whether there are any significant association of Satisfaction level with Age, Gender, Social Category, Educational Qualification, Annual Income and Occupation in the sample selected for PMMY. It will find out whether there is any significant association between the Problems faced by the applicants of MUDRA loan and the Purpose of applying the same, it will also analyse the impact of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana(PMJDY) as financial inclusion scheme. It will focus on the performance of PMJDY as financial inclusion scheme on the basis of the number of bank accounts opened and the number of bank accounts which are operational ,it will examine the Bank wise performance of PMJDY, it will throw light on the State wise performance of PMJDY and it will find out whether there are any significant association of Satisfaction level with Age, Gender, Social Category, Educational Qualification, Annual Income and Occupation in the sample selected for PMJDY. Finally the study will recommend suitable strategies for making the above mentioned schemes to be more effective for financial inclusion in India.
