dc.description.abstract | Mental stress is a big problem in today s society Mental stress cannot be newlinemeasured directly Stress has a psychological origin it affects several physiological newlineprocesses Mental Stress changes the heart rate HR and heart rate variability HRV newlineHeart rate variability has been widely accepted in the literature for the assessment of newlinemental work load The analysis of ECG signal requires the information both in time and newlinefrequency for clinical diagnosis the electrocardiogram ECG is a non invasive tool newlinewhich has been extensively used for diagnosis of heart disease The ECG is an electrical newlinesignal caused by the functioning of the heart newlineInspection of the P QRS T wave allows for the identification of the cardiac newlinebioelectrical health and disorders of a subject In order to extract the important features of newlinethe ECG signal the detection of the P wave QRS complex and ST segment is essential newlineTherefore the abnormalities of these ECG parameters are associated with cardiac newlineDisorders Generally human health state is defined by variety of physiological newlineParameters which usually are self interdependent Not all of them are equally informative and important While designing the overall monitoring system it is necessary to assess not only importance of measured parameters but also techniques of their measurement and potentiality of implication into practical systems newline | en_US |
