Abstract: The title of the present research is A Study of Impulsiveness and Adjustment of Higher Secondary School s Students, the objectives of the research were, newline To construct and standardize impulsiveness inventory to know the impulsivity of the students of higher secondary schools. newline To construct and standardize adjustment inventory to know the adjustment of the students of higher secondary schools. newline To determine the level of impulsivity in the students. newline To determine the level of adjustment in the students. newline To find out the effect of gender, caste, area of residence, type of school, educational stream, their parent s educational status, and parent economic status on the impulsiveness of the students. newline To find out the effect of gender, caste, area of residence, type of school, educational stream, their parent s educational status, and parent s economic status on the adjustment of the students. newline To find out the correlation between impulsiveness and adjustment of students. newline To find out the effect of gender, caste, area of residence, type of school, educational stream, their parent s educational status, and parent s economic status on the correlation between impulsiveness and adjustment of students. newline newlineIn the present research the Impulsiveness and Adjustment of higher secondary students is considered as the dependent variable, Gender, Caste, Residential Area, Type of School, Educational Stream, Parents Educational Status, and Parents Economic Status is considered as independent variables. newlineA group of students studying in standard-11 in all higher secondary schools of Gujarati medium located in Gujarat State became the population of the present research. The total sample of 3460 students (1971 boys and 1489 girls) from 50 selected Gujarati medium higher secondary schools (affiliated to G.S.E.B.) of science and general stream of five zone of Gujarat State was drawn for the present research. In order to select the sample, stratified random sampling method and cluster sampling method were utilized.
