Abstract: | This thesis work is done by performing experiments in a Compact Plasma System newline(CPS) in the plasma laboratory, Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. It involves the study newlineof the nature of pulsed washer gun argon plasma using the spectroscopic diagnostic newlinetechnique. The electron temperature of the pulsed plasma is estimated by considering newlinesuitable spectroscopic model subject to appropriate conditions of the plasma. In fact, newlinewe have estimated the electron temperature using the LTE model and the Corona newlinemodel. newlineThe study of the interaction region between the static glow discharge (GD) newlineplasma and pulsed washer gun plasma and the upgradation of system to perform newlineexperiments concerning two colliding/interacting pulsed plasmas (head on collision) newlineare included in this thesis work. In addition to the spectroscopic technique the single newlineLangmuir probe and the double probe diagnostics are also used to characterise the static newlineGD plasma source and to measure the electron densities of gun plasma and interaction newlineregion (between static and gun plasma) of plasmas. newlineIn newline |
