Since independence, the Government of India has initiated several schemes in the areas of women and child development, education, health and family welfare, employment and poverty eradication, irrigation, agriculture, safe drinking water, sanitation, housing, tribal development, border area development, transport, social welfare, etc both in urban as well as rural areas of the country. The prime objectives of these schemes are to remove economic inequality and poverty, better quality of life and generate employment. Despite of huge allocations made by GOI through various schemes the development are not perceptible. Further, the standard of living of the people is still very poor and the employment opportunities are still considered to be very limited and inadequate. This research selectively focused upon the various entrepreneurship schemes namely MUDRA, Startup India, Standup India and PM-YUVA. newlineThe present study An Analysis of Financial Viability of Government Schemes and their Implementation for Promoting Entrepreneurial Venture: A Select Study of U.P. thus addresses the literature gap and provides the managerial needs by proposing the conceptual model examining gap between the process requirement and difficulties faced by the beneficiaries. The findings of the research report that beneficiaries experienced various deficiencies and constraints while availing selected schemes. It also throws light on impact of selected schemes on financial status of the beneficiaries. In this line, the role of selected scheme in promoting the MSMEs has been also highlighted. The research will help the policy makers; concerned central ministries and implementing agencies at the state level to mitigate the problems face by the beneficiaries while availing the government scheme also assist them in fund mapping. It will also help to introduce the suitable corrective actions to ensure that the intended benefits of the schemes reach the target group. Further, insights regarding the current status of the government schemes will provide inputs to develop alternative schemes. The outcomes of the research can be generalized for other schemes as well. newline newline newline
