The study covers 350 respondents from topmost ten companies of pharmaceutical industry. On the basis of test computation at 0.05 level of significance, the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was applied to determine the effect of more than one dependent variable and to compare the mean of two different groups but population is same. All the sub hypotheses and findings reveal that sig. value is 0.000, which means p value is less than the 0.05 and thus all the sub hypotheses are rejected, the evidence suggests that there is difference in impact of pre and post patent regime on performance of Indian pharmaceutical industry. The study concludes that due to technological changes, research and development innovations post patent regime most impacted by the existing patent regime.
