Abstract: | This research explores many facets of diaspora. The term diaspora emerges from the newlineGreek word diaspeiro and the meaning of the word is to scatter about . The term newlinediaspora was coined by the translators of the Bible in 3rd century BC. This study also newlineexplores the diasporic elements of diaspora in the select works of two Asian- newlineAmerican novelists Chitra Banarjee and Bapsi Sidhwa. An American Brat and Ice newlineCandy Man by Bapsi Sidhwa and Sister of My Heart and The Mistress of spices by newlineChitra Banarjee Divakaruni. The main characters of these two novelists truly explored newlinethe real meaning of diaspora. These two novelists have different styles of writing, newlineboth have different themes of writing but when we talk about diasporic writings newlinespecially on Asian diaspora these novelists write the best. This study investigates the newlineterm diaspora and looks at South Asian American writing overall and the composition newlineof an Indian Pakistani foreigner lady. Another area of study called South Asian newlineAmerican Writing is developing. Here in this proposition, we basically dissect the newlineclose to home status of the person and their battle of change in unfamiliar land.Chitra newlineBanarjee Divakaruni and Bapsi Sidhwa are two most indisputable diasporic author newlineand are notable for figuring out the mental and the skirmish of The Mistress of spices newlinepeople who left their own country for own personality newline |
