Abstract: Layered titanate nanotubes TNTs and titanate nanoribbons newlineTNRs were synthesized via hydrothermal treatment from commercial TiO2 newlineFormation of nanotubes and nanoribbons were monitored by varying the newlinehydrothermal reaction temperature and time The two parameters newlinehydrothermal reaction temperature and time was 100C for 24h72h 150C newlinefor 24h72h and 200C for 24h72h The morphology structure and optical newlineproperties were systematically analyzed with samples are characterized by newlineTEM XRD XPS SEM N2 adsorptiondesorption isotherm BET as well as newlineRaman FTIR and UVVisDR spectroscopy newline newline
