dc.description.abstractAs we have seen earlier that there exists too many methods in our literature for finding an optimal solution of transportation and assignment problems. In this study, our main focus is to introduce some methods which gives an optimal solution directly without finding an initial basic feasible solution of balanced, unbalanced and degeneracy cases of transportation problem. Also we have suggested a proposed method for finding an optimal solution of assignment problem which is an efficient method as compare to existing ones. Also the basic advantage of the proposed methods introduced in our study is that it is having less number of iterations as compared to existing ones and having easy mathematical calculation which can be easily understandable by a non-mathematician or a layman. Some numerical examples are given to present my reliability among these methods and also compare the results graphically between them. newline
