Abstract: This study has sought to explore an appropriate talent assessment sculpt for the media industry. It has tried to identify various factors that comprise of talent in the media industry, and whether and how these talent measurement factors vary for different levels of people in the media industry. It has also aimed to explore the effect of talent assessment sculpt on performance management and employee development. newlineThe study commenced with introduction, and literature review of three variables under study, namely, talent assessment sculpts, performance management and employee development. The study also found significant correlation between talent assessments sculpt and performance management. Further, the study found significant correlation between talent assessments sculpt and employee development and that talent assessment sculpts had a significant impact on employee development. Step-wise regression showed that dimensions of talent assessment, conscientiousness, critical thinking, emotional stability and essential skills of media industry were significant predictors of employee development. Following the study, it was suggested that since teamwork and conscientiousness increase with age, the older employees should be made a part of most of the teams, so as to facilitate the other members of the team to work in better coordination and complete the work in time and in a more orderly fashion. As emotional stability was found to be highest amongst those in the age group of 20-30, employees in this age bracket could be assigned most of the jobs that are either stressful and have a stringent deadline or need persistent effort. It was also found that essential skills for the media industry are highest amongst the employees in the bracket of 51-60 years of age, and so the superiors could give the elder employees some slack time to assist the younger employees learn the various skills which are essential in the media industry. newline
