Abstract: quotABSTRACT newlineIntensification and expansion of Agricultural has led to the use of chemical newlinefertilizers and pesticides that promise to give high yield in relatively less time. newlineContinuous usage of these pesticides releases various xenotoxic compounds into the newlineenvironment that alters the physico- chemical properties of air, water, and soil. The newlinepresent study reports the microbial degradation studies of Organophosphorus pesticides newlinefrom agricultural soils of Visakhapatnam. The Bacterial strains were isolated from newlineagricultural soils of Visakhapatnam dist. Based on their morphological, biochemical, and newlinemolecular characteristics, the isolates were identified as Priestia aryabhatta, Neobacillus newlinedrentensis, Cytobacillus firmus, and Mammalicoccus vitulinus. These four strains were newlineisolated for the first time from Visakhapatnam region.quot newline newline
