dc.description.abstract | Due to the emergence of renewable energy sources, the countries are slowly transforming towards generating electrical energy by those means. In India, photovoltaic energy has huge potential. Therefore, the DC-AC conversion becomes very necessary as the consumer predominantly rely on AC supply whereas PV generates DC power only. The converted AC power should be fed into the grid efficiently. So, researchers focus mainly on several types of inverter configurations which does the conversion efficiently. In High and Medium - power applications the typical two-level inverter cannot provide a high-quality AC output meeting the desired standards. Industries demand high-quality voltage with low harmonics. In order to achieve that multilevel- inverters are used. A multilevel inverter produces a staircase voltage output instead of a square wave which improves the quality of the output newline | |
