The cardiovascular system is an integral component of the human body. Understanding the dysfunctions of this system is the primary goal of my research. Currently, cardiovascular diseases associated with physiological abnormalities or malfunctions of the heart and blood vessels are a leading cause of death around the world. These physiological conditions could be better studied using mathematical modeling and numerical methods; therefore, this research work has been divided into two parts. newlineThe first part of this study focuses on the mathematical modeling of non-Newtonian nanofluids for two-dimensional idealized stenotic geometries. For this study, nanoparticles were introduced into blood vessels using catheters. The resultant mathematical models were then solved using the perturbation method. A detailed discussion on the transport phenomena of blood flow was then presented, based on an analysis of the temperature and concentration dispersion of the blood, as well as the characteristics of flow fields. These findings demon strate that the study of nanofluids could be an assuring therapeutic approach to treating arterial conditions newline newline
