Abstract: | A new conversion structure for three phase grid connected newlinephotovoltaic PV generation plants is presented and discussed in this thesis newlineThis thesis presented a closed loop control of three phase multi level diode newlineclamped multilevel inverter DCMI connected to solar farm is analyzed The newlinephotovoltaic PV system utilizes two conversion stages algorithm for newlinetracking the maximum power point and a DCMI used as an interfacing unit newlineSinusoidal pulse width modulation SPWM and space vector newlinepulse width modulation SVPWM techniques are employed to study the newlineharmonic profile of closed loop controlled inverter output voltage The total newlineharmonic distortion THD for five level and seven level of DCMI in SPWM newlineand SVPWM are reported which reveals that they are less than the already newlineproposed three level inverter in terms of THD and the simulation results have newlineshown the effectiveness of the proposed scheme newlineIt is very difficult to operate the PV energy conversion systems newlinenear the maximum power point to increase the efficiency of the PV system newlineThe current and power of the PV array depends on the array terminal newlineoperating voltage In addition the maximum power operating point varies newlinewith insolation level I e irradiance and temperature newline newline |
